FO: Bird's Mill Shawl

On very rare occasions, I find a pattern, I buy the yarn called for in the pattern and I actually knit the yarn into the pattern. This is one of those occasions, although it took more than a year to get it done, and I'm so glad it came together.

In the few weeks it has been done and I wear this shawl all the time, and have had so many compliments on it.

I named the project Bird's Mill for the really neat old woolen mill that is in downtown Bracebridge.  It has been closed for many years but the structure is really neat and a great spot to have lunch if you work downtown in the summer. I didn't get the pictures there, but at the waterfall upstream of the mill Wilson's Falls, which was a really beautiful spot over the Thanksgiving weekend when I had a mini-photo shoot.
